This briefing consists of the Centre for Justice Innovation's response to the consultation launched by the Ministry of Justice on the Draft Code of Practice for Diversionary and Community Cautions. It outlines how the code of practice can be strengthened, and rooted in the evidence, to ensure this important area of police work can effectively resolve lower level offending within the community.
