Diversion resource page

This page contains a list of helpful resources and templates for practitioners to support the implementation of pre-court diversion schemes.

Please note these are examples and should be adapted to meet the needs of local schemes and their partners. A number of documents included below were kindly provided by Devon and Cornwall Police who run the deferred caution and deferred charge scheme, Pathfinder. Deferred caution form

This form records the acceptance of the caution, which is deferred to allow compliance with rehabilitative conditions.  If breached the caution can be automatically recorded as it has already been agreed to. This form also includes an information sharing agreement to allow diversion staff to prepare and send to rehabilitative service providers.

OOCD choose disposal flowchart

This flowchart details considerations to be made before reaching a disposal decision. However, this is not the standard two-tier OOCD framework, here a conditional caution has been replaced with the deferred caution.
