The Centre for Justice Innovation is seeking an enthusiastic research intern to help deliver two innovative research projects. The position is full-time for a fixed period of four months over the summer in 2019 and pays London Living Wage.
The first project is to update existing data in our youth diversion database, which will entail; refreshing content, providing analysis of the year two data, and producing a final report of the findings.
The second research project is to identify and champion innovative practice across the criminal justice system. This requires updating current case studies and undertaking research to locate new candidates from across the UK to produce a number of in-depth case studies for the Centre’s website.
It is expected that the successful candidate will work across both projects simultaneously.
The position will also involve supporting the Centre’s work more generally, for example by helping to design and organise workshops for practitioners. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, an interest in criminal justice and be able to demonstrate strong research, writing and communication skills.
